Canes Long Island
01Registration Policy

Registration, Cancellation
& Refund Policy.

Please read this policy carefully before accepting a roster position or making a payment.

Effective September 6, 2026

Canes Long Island is operated by Blackout Holdings LLC.

1. Binding commitment

A player's registration becomes final and binding when:

  • The player or family accepts a roster position or otherwise commits to participate in a Canes Long Island team or program; and
  • The player or family makes any initial payment, including a deposit, first installment, or partial payment.

Once both events have occurred, Canes Long Island relies on that commitment when making roster, coaching, tournament, insurance, uniform, facility, administrative, and other program-related decisions and expenditures.

2. No refunds

After the commitment and initial payment described above, all deposits, registration payments, tuition payments, installment payments, and other program fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

A player's withdrawal, voluntary departure, change of mind, scheduling conflict, decision to join another organization, failure to attend, reduced participation, relocation, injury, or removal for violation of team or organizational rules does not automatically create a right to a refund or account credit.

3. Responsibility for the remaining balance

The commitment is for the player's full applicable team or program fee — not merely the initial payment.

A player's withdrawal or failure to participate does not automatically cancel the family's responsibility for the remaining unpaid balance.

Canes Long Island reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to invoice and pursue payment of any remaining unpaid balance associated with the player's accepted roster position or program commitment.

A decision by Canes Long Island not to pursue an unpaid balance in a particular situation does not waive its right to enforce this policy in another situation.

4. Exceptional circumstances

Canes Long Island may, but is not required to, consider a written request involving an injury or another exceptional circumstance.

Any refund, credit, payment adjustment, or release from a remaining balance must be expressly approved in writing by Canes Long Island. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.

Requests must be sent to info@caneslongisland.com and identify:

  • The player
  • Team or age group
  • Season or program
  • Reason for the request

5. Cancellation by Canes Long Island

This policy does not eliminate refund rights that cannot legally be waived.

If Canes Long Island cancels an entire paid team or program and does not provide a substantially comparable replacement opportunity, Canes Long Island will communicate directly with affected families regarding any applicable refund or account credit for services that will not be provided.

6. Acknowledgment

"By accepting a roster position or program placement and making an initial payment, the player's parent or legal guardian acknowledges that the registration is final and binding, accepts this Registration, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and accepts responsibility for the full applicable team or program balance."
